Part 1
The voice of the newcomer echoed in the ears that hear all, “But, who shall watch out for Michael?” it said. Two eyes that had the sight of a billion eyes focused on the creation Michael as he went about his mission. Michael was the Archangel, the Protector, and the Guardian of man.
Michael invisible to men, was in the middle of a busy four lane highway. He was hunched over and head bowed. His great wings formed a protective barrier around a small child that had wandered onto the highway. Both cars and trucks buffeted Michael’s wings as they made impact and were forced around the child. To the drivers it seemed that their own reflexes were responsible for steering their vehicles around the small child, but the two eyes that saw all, focused on the Archangel and knew differently. The wings were bloodied but the child unharmed as the angel guided him to safety.
Michael flew off to heal. The wounds of an angel heal quickly, but the pain from the injury lasts long after the visible signs have gone. As the Protector healed, and watched for another opportunity to intervene on man’s behalf, he reflected on his own limitations. So did the One with the eyes of infinite sight, they shared the thoughts of Michael. While Michael was a powerful creation, no angel stronger, he was not created with the ability to know the mind of man. While millenniums of experience had given him intuition, sadly he was still taken off guard by the cruelties that man could inflict on each other. Those were the hardest to understand for him. The natural disasters he could make sense of, but the man made ones, he could not. He also was created without omnipresence. Often he would arrive when the time to prevent had past, and all he could do was intervene on behalf of those not harmed. It tortured him.
September 11, 2001 was an example. As Michael’s wings began to heal and the angel’s blood began drying on his wings he thought of that day as did his Creator. Unlike the One with ears that hear all, Michael was taken off guard with the events of that day. When he arrived on the scene one of the towers was collapsing. Without thought the Archangel focused on small group of firefighter trapped in a stairway. In milliseconds Michael expanded his great wings and encircled the group as floor after floor of the tower came crashing down upon his wings. The pain that day was great. The healing was long, but the men survived in the space made by the wings of the angel.
As Michael’s thoughts continued, the One with the all knowing mind focused again on the cries of the newcomer. Horrified at the sight of the bloodied hurt Guardian of man, the newcomer’s voice again cried out, “But who shall watch out for Michael?” A tear flowed down the cheek of the One with infinite sight. Its glow was brilliant as it contained the life force of billions. As the newcomer watched he ceased his cries and understood. The answer was in the tear. The tear was the answer.
