“The Angel’s Existence”

Part 8

In Michael’s world angels are not loved, they are used.

Used by the One who created them to absorb the pain of humans preventing it from reaching Him who presides over creation’s Kingdom. They are used by humans who hurt one another. Their pain not always preventable, not preventable as angels are not omniscient nor omnipresent.

In the Archangel’s world, angels are hurt by their own endurance. When lesser creatures would wither and die, or perhaps just give up and turn away, angels have no choice but to go on, endure the pain, scarring, and healing. No choice, because it is within their cell structure to be fiercely loyal to those they love, whether the objects of their love bring them joy or grief.

Sadly Michael thought, that an Angel’s existence would be so different if only they were loved as they love, imperfectly, but completely, loyally and without end, but this was not to be. He who has the eyes that can see into the darkest crevice of creation destined it to be as it is.

Pain, loss, and loneliness are the home of the angel. After a time it grows to be comfortable as most familiar things do, but the longing of an angel to be truly loved will never really cease. For a time it may ebb or flare, but can only be extinguished by love, and for an angel love is not to be under the current rules of creation’s plan.

His own creation was than flawed thought Michael, as he was not allowed to be loved. Than why the desire for love, the painful desire? The Archangel wrestled with this as his doubts grew about the Creators sanity and pureness. He had loved his Creator. A Creator who had become absent, distant and unheard from for millenniums by the human ear,as even the forces of nature grew increasingly out of control. A Being who too, did not show love to the angel, the Archangel, His fiercest protector. Rage and hurt grew in the Archangel as did pain and doubt. He hated the doubt as it hurt him, and wished it were not………
