I'm Weary

Bob Seger -We've Got Tonight Lyrics:

I know it's late, I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me
Still here we are, both of us lonely
Longing for shelter from all that we see
Why should we worry, no one will care girl
Look at the stars so far away
We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?
We've got tonight babe
Why don' you stay?

Deep in my soul, I've been so lonely
All of my hopes, fading away
I've longed for love, like everyone else does
I know I'll keep searching, even after today
So there it is girl, I've said it all now
And here we are babe, what do you say?
We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?
We've got tonight babe
Why don't you stay?

I know it's late, I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me
Still here we are, both of us lonely
Both of us lonely

We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?
Let's make it fast, let's find a way
Turn out the light, come take my hand now
We've got tonight babe
Why don't you stay?
Why don't you stay?

Moving on now ......

The next part of Michael's story is his conversation with his brother Lucifer. I won't be continuing it here, but I will be writing more of his story. Thanks for your interest.

“The Angel's Insight”

The Eleventh Part:

Pain is not a stranger to the archangel. They are made to bleed when they see the pain of humans or intervene and shield human from pain. Their wings are connected to both their hearts and their brains by thick fibrous nerves and massive arteries. They are the source of great pleasure and great pain. Their hearts rupture and bleed as they sense pain. The blood pools and forms a protective skin around their hearts as it clots and heals. The heart grows stronger with each blood skin, yet as it increases its size it also increases its venerability to pain and suffering. It is a vicious cycle; it is the archangel’s life.

Accustomed to physical pain and human pain, Michael had not been prepared for his own pain caused by the betrayal of his brother Lucifer. They were meant to go through eternity together caring for and protecting humans. When Lucifer lead the rebellion against the Kingdom, known as Heaven to Humans, and against the Creator, known as God, Michael lost the one he trusted most, other than God itself. The pain then was immobilizing, physical only in the sense that is was so intensely emotional that it manifested as pain in parts of the angel’s body. It was intensified by Lucifer’s mutilation at Michael’s own hand, as God had willed. It had changed Michael. He was never the same. He hid it well.

Now over two thousand years later, the pain regained its freshness freeing itself from its protective scar tissue, as Michael looked down upon what had been his brother as it writhed in pain on Hell’s floor. It that had been Lucifer was unchanged from the day Michael had uprooted its wings and imprisoned it in the Depths. Suddenly, Michael remembered the day when a newcomer to Heaven, witnessing Michael’s pain, had cried out repeatedly asking God, “Who will watch out for Michael”? It haunted him then because seemingly there was no answer. Who could possibly guard the Guardian of all, the most powerful and able archangel? The question haunted him again now, but not because it had no answer, but because it did. It hit him with a force like a train hitting a human knocking the body out of the skin. Before him lay the answer in the mutilated body of Lucifer that painfully dragged itself toward Michael. It was what had caused the tear of God in response to the newcomer’s plea. Michael’s protector was his brother….
